This Seminar on International Solidarity Works has enlightened us on the strategies and on how the CCP-NDF-NPA works as an international organization. During this seminar, I was able to understand the “Revolutionary Dual Tactics” being employed by CCP-NDF-NPA. And an understanding of the enemy is already a big step in defeating that enemy.
The Revolutionary Dual Tactics, which our speaker, refers to as a strategy used by revolutionary movements in which they use both legal and illegal methods to achieve their goals. This can include using peaceful protest and civil disobedience as well as more militant tactics such as armed struggle. The idea behind this strategy is to use the most appropriate tactics for the specific situation in order to achieve the desired outcome.
Revolutionary dual tactics can involve a combination of different types of activities such as using legal political parties and social movements to achieve reforms and build support for the revolutionary cause, while at the same time using underground groups to conduct sabotage, guerrilla warfare, and other forms of armed resistance. This is the approach that has been employed by the CCP-NDF-NPA to fight against the government for the last 54 years.
The Philippine government has now focused its response to the CPP-NDF-NPA threat on 4 main points. Diplomatic, Informational, Economic, and Military (minimal) as stated by our speaker.
Diplomatic measures: The use of diplomatic measures, such as diplomatic pressure, to isolate the revolutionary movement from other countries and weaken its international support.
Propaganda/Informational warfare: The use of media, including traditional and social media, to spread disinformation or false information about the revolutionary movement and its leaders in order to discredit them.
Economic measures: The use of economic measures, such as sanctions, embargoes, or blockades, to weaken the revolutionary movement by depriving it of resources and support.
Repression/Military Force: This can include the use of force by the state, such as police and military intervention, to suppress the revolutionary movement. This can include arrests, torture, and killings of suspected revolutionaries.
As future police officers, we must reassure the community through our word and our actions that we are constantly working to keep the community safe from the CCP-NDF-NPA groups. Our law enforcement agencies are well-trained and equipped to handle any situation that may arise, and we have a strong network of resources and partners to help us prevent and respond to any potential threats. We take all threats seriously and will do everything in our power to ensure the safety of our community. And so, we encourage our fellow Filipino people not to hesitate to report any suspicious activity or behavior, as it can help us prevent any potential threats before they can cause harm. The community's safety is our top priority, and we are committed to working together to keep our community safe and secure.
