“Every child deserves a Champion: an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists they become the best they can possibly be.” – Rita Pierson
This famous phrase by Rita Pierson, sums up the significance of good role models for kids' lives. Children's growth and development can be greatly influenced by the presence of a champion in their lives. This champion may offer direction, support, encouragement, and a listening ear, enabling kids to have faith in their own abilities and realize their full potential. Children who may be struggling with issues like poverty, abuse, neglect, or other harsh conditions need a champion more than others. Children can get stability and optimism from a champion, who encourages them to pursue their goals and conquer challenges.
Adults should be aware of the influence they have on children's lives and actively engage in becoming a champion for those around them. This can be achieved via mentoring, volunteering, or just being a helpful friend. Adults can leave a lasting impression and contribute to a better future by devoting time and effort to the lives of children.
Therefor Philippine National Police Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Office chose to conduct its Community Outreach Programs with the Special Education Center (SPED) at Solano East Central School. This was only possible through the collaboration of various stakeholders.
Through this activity we were able to impower these children with special needs. Encouraging them and making them feel the sense that they are valued members of the community. But most importantly, the lessons that they teach us about life and how we should go on living.
Children have a special outlook on life that frequently teaches us valuable lessons. Here are some examples that adults may learn from kids: One, Children have a natural desire to learn about the world they live in. They constantly seek out new information, ask questions, and experiment. This serves as a reminder to always keep asking questions and seeking knowledge throughout our lives. Two, children enjoy playing and having fun. They have a positive outlook on life and know how to have a good time. This encourages us to have fun, enjoy life and not take ourselves too seriously. Third, Children have a way of stating their minds that can be both refreshing and humbling. They tend to be quite honest and plain. This serves as a reminder to live honestly and authentically for ourselves and for everyone around us. Fourth, Children have vivid imaginations and a passion for self-expression. This inspires us to use our own ingenuity to approach issues and challenges in fresh, creative ways. Fifth, Children have a remarkable capacity for bouncing back and persevering in the face of difficulties and disappointments. This instills in us the ability to persevere in the face of difficulty and to never give up on our goals. Lastly, Children frequently exhibit high levels of empathy and compassion, and they have a natural capacity to comprehend and relate to others. This helps us to view the world from their point of view and to be more empathetic and sympathetic toward others.
By learning from children and incorporating their perspectives into our own lives, we can become better individual and lead more fulfilling and meaningful lives.
